A Tale of Two Protests

The Tea Party Protesters are ritualistically labeled as “angry,” “racist,” “hateful,” or “violent.” Here is some video of these “dangerous” tea partiers being interviewed by a liberal blogger. Not only does the blogger have no problem navigating his way through the conservative crowd, he is treated respectfully and without rancor.

In this video, we see a SWAT team has been called in to preserve order in the face of a tea part protest. Note the reaction from the protesters–peaceful compliance.

On the other hand, here is video of protest against the new, strict immigration law recently signed by the governor of Arizona, Jan Brewer. Note the man being escorted away by police. He is a counter-protester whose life was threatened. Note the violence being enacted against the police for protecting the man’s right to life, which these protesters refuse to recognize.

In this second video, we see how liberals, progressives, and socialists treat conservatives. Why the great difference? Because liberals, progressives, and socialists don’t believe in equal rights. They believe only in their own “rights,” which includes the right to take the property of others by violence, as demonstrated by the two losers that stole a backpack from one of the tea party protesters.

Update: my favorite part of the above video is where the communists and liberals are shouting at the conservatives to “get educated,” while holding up a very large sign with word the “immigrant” misspelled (no, people, it’s not spelled “immagrant”). HA! Too much.

Here is another example of the major differences between these two movements (this one was in LA). I guess the Left wouldn’t be the Left if they weren’t looking for excuses to destroy things.

The article mentions that anarchist infiltrators may have been responsible for the damage. Ok…but the Tea Parties also had infiltrators, who were quickly sent packing. The immigration protesters didn’t stop the damage when they could and should have.

Progressive Reaction To Brown’s Victory

Can we please stop pretending that Liberals Progressives are decent people?

The good folks over at HotAir.com have compiled a list of responses from the nutroots on three different Progressive sites. As they say, it ain’t pretty (Warning: Language).

You have to wonder how some of these people can justify their ideology, when what they propose is nothing short of German Fascism, e.g. propagandizing. Case in point:

MHB: What we’re witnessing is the product of a corrupt media and a dumb, distractable electorate. I’m not sure that anything can be done at this point, but one thing I am sure of is that continuing to operate on the premise that the majority of Americans are reasonable, intelligent people who will do the right thing if the facts are presented to them objectively is not going to work. I know that it’s not what most people who come to this site want to hear, but most Americans need to be manipulated into doing the right thing. Reasoning with them might be the morally correct thing to do, but is simply not going to get the job done.

And let’s not forget the tolerance and “bi-partisanship:”

Joe the Liberal: It absolutely sickens me… to see this solid blue state have some sleazeball, degenerate, scumbag filth republican as their “representative”. I’m even more sickened and disgusted to see Ted’s seat, that he held for decades on end go to this piece of garbage, cookie cutter, bottom feeding, dirtbag republican.

I guess for TwixVoy, the chanting of “Yes, We Can!” signifies Nazism…but wait, didn’t we hear that same chant at all the Obama rallies and victory parties? Oh yeah, we did.

Carrie Prejean Retains Miss California Crown

Three parts of the press conference where Donald Trump announced that Carrie Prejean will continue as Miss California. Several photos were released yesterday and today, by evil people trying to add more pressure to the decision. Part 2 includes Carrie’s explanation of the sources of those photos.

The most frightening aspect of this imbroglio is the fact that Carrie’s face was photoshopped onto the body of a nude model in an attempt to discredit her. This is the standard MO for the Left–manufacturing evidence to support their false accusations against their critics and opponents to shame them into silence. Their methods will ultimately drive them into irrelevance, so the sooner we learn to ignore them, the better.

Congratulations to Carrie Prejean, and a big thank you to Donald Trump.

Miss California Victim Of Appalling Double-Standard

According to Miss Rhode Island Alysha Castonguay, Carrie Prejean is being attacked for her beliefs, and not for the racy photos that were recently published. Miss Castonguay points to her own photo shoot that appeared in Maxim Magazine as evidence of the double-standard.

Some Miss California Peagean officials maintain that because Carrie Prejean didn’t disclose the existence of her photos before the pageant, she is in violation of her contract with the Miss California pageant, and should have her crown stripped. Miss Castonguay informed pageant officials previous to the pageant, and pageant officials allowed her to continue with the competition.

But Castonguay’s statement exposes a major flaw in the Pageant’s argument. She said, “I don’t know if I would’ve came forward with them, you know, and let them know that there were pictures out there. I wouldn’t have thought that they would ever be published.”

Castonguay agreed to her photo shoot in full knowledge the photos were going to be published. Carrie Prejean’s photos, as Castonguay points out, were not taken with the intent of publishing them. She couldn’t have known beforehand that someone would publish those photos because, at the time the photos were taken, Carrie wasn’t working for any modelling company, nor for any fashion magazine. These were sample photos taken to help her in her pursuit of a possible modelling career. Carrie failed to mention them because they were not available to the public. The publication of the photos is a blatant attempt to smear Carrie Prejean.

There is an enormous difference between the two photos shoots because of this detail, which provides a better explanation of why Prejean did not mention her photos. Her critics’ maintain she is a horrible, evil person who should be shunned, shamed, and shot (regardless of their anti-gun political positions). But it is a difference which will be convenientely ignored by the Move-on Media. Fortunately, there are right-thinking people that will not let the Truth slide.

First Steps For The Fourth Reich

The House today overwhelmingly passed a bill that establishes a new commission to study the feasibility of a “mandatory service requirement for all able young people.” This is seen by some, including myself, as part of Obama’s campaign pledge to create a “civilian national security force” that would rival the military. Watch this video.

The bill also creates a “Youth Engagement Zone Program” and declares that “service learning” will be a “mandatory part of the curriculum in all of the secondary schools served by the local educational agency.” Simply put, this legislation creates an organization which bears some resemblance to the Hitler Youth programs of the 1930′s. According to a comment on Gateway Pundit blog, “[t]here is even a provision in the bill for uniforms.” If this doesn’t frighten America out of her slumber, what ever will?

Leaving aside the fears of creating a new Hitler Youth, the very idea that government can mandate a term of service for all able young people is unconstitutional on it’s face, and disturbing in its implications. The 13th Amendment declares that involuntary servitude is prohibited in America. But Obama has shown on several occasions now that he believes his administration is above the law, and can ignore the limitations of the Constitution at will. And let’s not forget that the Democrats control both houses of Congress, and they are more than eager to impose their leftist will upon America. They have waited a long time for this moment.

It was reported early on that Obama reminded several republican leaders that he had won the election, and that things were going to be done the way he wanted them to be done. Mr. Obama seems to have forgotten that he won the elections because We the People voted him into office. He is not there to represent himself and his interests; he is there to represent the interest of America generally, which includes that of those who did not vote for him. His arrogance is astounding. I heard a commentator on the radio yesterday opine that Obama seems to hold himself in high regard, and looks down with contempt at everyone else. I agree, and we are seeing it writ large. I only hope our country can survive four years of this assault.

Envirofascists Tell Asthma Sufferers To Drop Dead

I’m an asthma sufferer. I’ve had it since birth. It flares up when I get around specific allergens, like dander from horses, cats, and certain breeds of dogs. It also flares up in the cold, or when I run. My case isn’t life-threatening, but it isn’t fun either.

For example, I cannot go visit my in-laws, my sister, or some of my friends unless I am willing to deal with asthma for a week afterward; they all have dogs or cats. I can’t run any appreciable distance. If I go camping, I have to take an inhaler, just in case.

The inhalant I have found to be very effective is the tried-and-true albuterol inhaler. It typically cost me about $25.00 and would sometimes last more than a year. But beginning Jan. 1, 2009, that inhaler will no longer be legal to sell in the US. You see, the CFCs used as a propellant are allegedly destroying the ozone layer.

Never mind the fact that the hole we have supposedly created in the ozone layer comes and goes on its own from year to year, and appears to repair itself. Never mind that the hole in the ozone layer only appears above the only unpopulated continent on the face of the planet. Never mind that the amount of CFCs used to propel albuterol is environmentally insignificant now that CFCs have been banned in everything else. The pretend hole in the ozone layer is more important than the health and well-being of the people on this planet.

The new inhaler is not even half the size of the old one. Why? Because they don’t want the public to spend more money than they did before. That might arouse suspicion. So now you are paying about twice as much as you were before for medication that, for some people, is necessary to preserve life.

Who is hurt the most by this change in price? The poor people. Asthma does not distinguish between rich or poor. And in fact, if you are in a lower income tax bracket, you will likely receive less treatment for asthma than someone in a higher bracket. Poor people tend to not have insurance, and so have to pay on their own. They will be even less able to pay for the inhalant now than they used to be.

Did you ever wonder why the Left in America is so adamant that we must provide free health care to everyone? There are a couple of reasons. First is to assuage their guilt. They know perfectly well that their policies affect people financially, and they know that people of lesser income are most deeply affected by those policies. Therefore, they devise programs to make up for the harm they would otherwise be causing people, which is the second reason: to provide cover for their bad policies. Once their guilt has been satisfied, they can proceed to subject everyone else to the tyranny that results from their oppressive and draconian regulations. There is no good liberal policy. All policies emanating from the Left are designed to hurt people in at least one way. The frightening part is that the Left never seems to be able to see the consequences of their policies before they are put into action.

So, with this new inhaler will come new efforts to bring health care under the umbrella of government “services.” There are already reports of people being sensitive to the new medication, and thus unable to take it. The inhaler must be meticulously cleaned after each use to prevent a build-up of medication in the nozzle, which would then prevent the medication from being dispensed. That was not a problem with the old inhaler. Furthermore, the drug companies were forced into investing their money in these new products against their will by the government. So much for free enterprise.

Unless I miss my guess, the old inhaler will still be available outside the US. If I want what works, I will just have to go to Mexico to get it. Unfortunately, most of the people who need this medication the most won’t be able to afford the trip to get it. I predict a rise in asthma-related deaths in the next two years. Who will be to blame? The American Left, specifically the enviro-fascist wing.

What I am left wondering is, when all the CFCs have been banned, and the hole in the ozone continues to behave as it now does, can we then finally put them all on trial for crimes against humanity?

Betrayal: How the Left Abuses the People It Pretends to Help

(Updated) I have long held, and often said, that Leftists are abusive, violent people underneath their compassionate veneers. Their history betrays them. Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot, Che Guevara, all leftists, and all murderers.

In our society, we don’t see them murdering others. Instead we see a different kind of violence–a psychological rather than physical violence. Thomas Sowell has written a column today that explains what I mean.

Dr. Sowell exposes abuse of the same character as found in Jonah Goldberg’s recent book, Liberal Facism. In it, Mr. Goldberg delivers well-documented evidence of the Left’s heritage of coercion. The American flavor of Fascism comes with smiles and institutional programs and rehabilitation. The insidious nature of the American Left’s abuse is the assurance that it’s for your own good.

Dr. Sowell highlights another aspect of Leftism in America–those programs designed to “help” people who are incapable of helping themselves. The American Left sees itself as superior to everyone else on the planet. Their arrogance and self-adulation are the source of their belief in their own moral superiority. But in order to feel vindicated, they need some outward evidence of that superiority. As Dr. Sowell points out, that’s where they latch onto others, preferably people of color, or other types of minorities (i.e. the poor, women, the disabled, etc). These people become trophies. They are used as evidence of the Left’s goodness.

The abuse is not limited to the American Left, either. A news report from MSN shows that child sexual abuse by UN peacekeeping forces and humanitarian experts is widespread and little or nothing is done to curb the problem. These are not right-wingers arranging sex-for-food deals with 14-year-old girls. What is the Left’s response? Demands that we reinstate funding for abortions overseas.

Glenn Beck’s column gives us another view of the results of the “help” the left offers. It is unfortunate that some republicans have parroted the line about immigrants filling jobs Americans won’t do. In their attempts at being compassionate, those who favor illegal immigration by doing nothing to stop it have created what Glenn calls “Corporate slavery.”

The living conditions described in some of Glenn’s examples are appalling. Perhaps the line should be reworked to say “living the life Americans won’t live.” The Left has a contemptible knack for looking the other way when their ideas produce misery. This isn’t compassion. It is the natural result of believing you are superior to everyone else. The Left traffics in Condescension, and there is enough for everyone.

The Left does nothing out of true charity or altruism. Everything is calculated to produce some kind of gain whether it be political, financial, or otherwise. In countries where civility has not firmly taken root, murder may be one of the methods used to produce such gain.

The Left always seeks power over others. Invariably the stated goal is the good of the people. It is alarming how many must die as part of the achievement of that goal. Some argue the world would be better off if the Left did not exist. One thing is certain–there would be a lot more people.

Unconstitutional Liberalism

You know, it’s a strange thing. The liberal voices who insist that we must change the way we do things always point to either Europe or Great Britain as models for how we should behave. The problem is that this is not a comparison of apples to apples.

Take gas consumption for example. The liberal fascists wants us to reduce our consumption of gas to match that of Europe. They think we should be paying the same prices for gas as they do in Europe, somewhere around 10 thousand dollars a gallon. Europeans actually have the lowest prices for gas on the planet; their sympathetic attitude toward radical jihadists qualifies them for the Al-Qaeda employee discount. Once they add in the taxes, well, you can see what happens.

The taxes are part of why Europeans don’t drive much. It’s also the reason they can eat really heavy, fat-filled foods and not have heart attacks. Seriously–my friends who have lived in Europe tell me that they don’t offer fat-free foods in their supermarkets. Why should they? Riding a bike everywhere burns off the calories pretty quick. Taxes are how the Europeans control behavior.

The liberals here in America think they are going to institute similar measures to control us. What they don’t understand is that Europeans have a long tradition of being second-class citizens. They lived for many years under the rule of kings, long after we threw our king out. Some gradually managed to put together new forms of government under Presidents or Prime Ministers, but they insisted that these new governments continue to act like kings. The Brits even kept their king around, just as a reminder.

The liberals want us to sign on to the Kyoto Protocol to reduce our carbon emissions, like Europe. Trouble is, high energy taxes were already forcing them to use less gas by rarely driving and were were forcing them to forgo air conditioning. Remember the heat wave France had a couple of years ago, where thousands of people died of heat exhaustion in their own homes because they couldn’t afford to pay for air conditioning? The Europeans were already using far less energy than we do as a whole, and they still can’t meet their Kyoto requirements. What on earth makes the crazy liberals think the results will be different here?

We probably can do better than we are–we could lose some weight, we could stop smoking, or ride a bike more often. But we don’t need government using tax policy to control our behavior (the FairTax would fix all that). In fact, our traditions say that government shouldn’t be dictating how we live our lives, as long as we aren’t hurting others. The Kyoto Protocol, if ratified, would become part of the law of the land equal to the Constitution–a Constitutional mandate for Government to control our behavior. Cheers to George W. Bush for rejecting it, and Jeers to John McCain for wanting to sign it.

The liberals want us to save the planet, drive less, lose weight, stop smoking, and live closely packed together in a few big cities, rather than a lot of little towns. They don’t want us to have guns. They want us to be only fashionably religious. They want us to be second-class citizens ruled by an elite monarchial government. Most of all, though, they want to be King.

Left Blames Religion for Global Warming

Read the story at Section134.com. I can’t help but wonder how much longer the Left can refrain from outright murder in the name of the earth. I don’t think it will be long. The revolutionaries are getting restless.
