ACORN Internal Memo Exposes Fraud

On May 26, 2009, in Campaigns, Politics & Elections, by Trenton Hansen

The good folks at Hot Air blog offer this delicious little tidbit: ACORN internal memo blows cover off its “non-partisan” claims.

Thus, the exposure of ACORNs fraud is now complete. Not only have its fraudulent activities been widely reported by credible sources, but now an internal memo has surfaced that exposes plans to benefit “Progressives in general, and Democratic candidates in particular…”

…ACORN plotted a national campaign to benefit a Democrat Party takeover of Congress, explicitly naming the Democrats as beneficiaries of their “largesse”.

The entire memo can be read here.

Contact the IRS and urge them to revoke ACORNs tax-exempt status retroactively to the time the memo was written (November 2004). You will need IRS Form 13909. You can then mail, fax or email the form to the IRS. Details are below.

  • Mail to: IRS EO Classification, Mail Code 4910DAL, 1100 Commerce St., Dallas, TX 75242-1198,
  • Fax to 214-413-5415, or
  • Email to eoclass@irs.gov.

How are Americans supposed to make an informed decision, if the means whereby information is disseminated to them is corrupted?

The Freedom of the Press never included the right or the privilege to deceive the people, either by outright lying to them, or withholding the truth from them. The NY Times is routinely guilty of both. In this case, it may have influenced the election. I would venture to say that, if this story was published prior to the election, we would have seen more people like Anita Moncrief standing up.

This is how the liberal Democrats win elections: they lie, cheat, and steal in order to win, because they know two things, 1) the American People wouldn’t vote for them with full disclosure, and 2) if they can win before the truth comes out, it will largely be too late to stop them.

Gateway Pundit has more.

The AP is carrying a story that would have been merely annoying had I not just watched the “Big Lie” video presentation from the good folks at iCaucus.org. The Independence Caucus has unveiled part of their research into the financial backroom dealing that keeps incumbents elected, wreaks havoc on our electoral system, and completely skirts around the McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Reform Act.

Their research basically shows how 25 institutions (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, two auto companies, and 21 banks) have received 93% of all the TARP monies that were supposed to go to all the banks across the nation. One problem: the vast majority of the banks haven’t seen a red cent from the stimulus package. Out of over 8,500 banks, 21 got 93%, 553 got about 5%, and the rest has not been dispersed.

But you wouldn’t believe where a good portion of the money has gone…right back into the coffers of our Representatives, on both sides of the aisle. The money was contributed to the election campaigns of these people, and was almost evenly divided between Democrats and Republicans. Basically, it was payback for passing the stimulus bill. The folks at the Independence Caucus explain how it works.

So now back to the story from the AP. Why did the Banks need to be stress tested? The government has never needed to “stress test” the banks before now. Banks have always been required by law to have stress tests conducted by independent auditors at regular intervals. But lo and behold, the government stress test, required by Congress, conveniently finds that the banks need additional government money, which in turn will fuel an additional round of campaign finance kickbacks.

It’s well past time to stop this madness.

The Justice Department has announced that it will dismiss all corruption charges against former Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens and will not seek a new trial, citing prosecutorial misconduct, according to an AP report. The two prosecutors assigned to the case were held in contempt by the judge in the case, who called their behavior outrageous. They withheld exculpatory evidence in the case that may have led to an acquittal. Accusations of an “inappropriate relationship” between prosecutors and their lead witness were leveled by a whistle-blower inside the FBI. This was a political hit job.

To tell the truth, I wondered if this was not the reality behind this case. It just seemed far too convenient for the Democrats to have Sen. Stevens removed from office at this precise moment in time, when they are l0oking for every advantage to use against the Republicans and increase their grip on the government.

As a result of this sham prosecution, Sen. Stevens lost his senate seat to Democratic challenger Mark Begitch. Begitch says that dropping the charges against Stevens is “not unreasonable.” But if Begitch had any integrity, he would offer Sen. Stevens his seat back, and apologize to the people of Alaska for being part of a lie. The corruption in this case is not with Sen. Stevens, as was revealed today, but with the Democratic Party and the Justice Department, which is still largely populated with Clinton appointees. Alaskans were deceived into voting for a candidate they probably would not have voted for otherwise. Stevens lost his election bid by only 3,724 votes,  46.7% to Mark Begitch’s 47.9%.

The Democratic Party has adopted several methods to win elections, including deception, fraud, and corruption. The Stevens Case is an example of how they will find any allegation upon which they can trump up charges of corruption against Republicans, and then use the precisely timed wave of outrage to ride into power. The argument over who the senate seat is ongoing in Minnesota between Democrat Al Franken and Republican Norm Coleman. With such egregious irregularities in the election results, how can any reasonable person just assume that Al Franken actually won? It is now coming to light that ACORN submitted thousands of fraudulent voter registrations, and were guilty of throwing the elections in several counties where they were operating. The Democrats are throwing any vestiges of integrity to the winds in their desperate grab for more power.

And what have they done with that power thus far? Flouted the will of the American People at every turn, and governed as though they were accountable to no-one and the seats of power are theirs by right. Their corruption will catch up with them, and the results will not be pretty. If they refuse to learn the lessons of history, that tyranny leads to civil unrest, and that the wrong response to that unrest will lead to greater conflict, they will create a downward spiral that will eventually lead to civil war.

While both parties have responsibility for the current situation in which we find ourselves, the Democrats are deceiving the American people in order to steal the elections and win back power. If they really had a better plan, they wouldn’t need to resort to such dishonest methods to win elections. But the fact is that they don’t, and so must rely upon unsavory means of winning. Once in power, they will use every means at their disposal, including the Courts and appeals to the International community to ram their radical agenda down America’s throat.
