Van Jones Resigns Post

By Trenton Hansen

Wow! Just wow!

The pressure Glenn Beck and others have been putting on the White House has finally taken its toll, and Van Jones has resigned as Green Jobs Czar.

For those not familiar with Van Jones or his “activism,” he was an avowed Communist who began his journey toward the dark side during a brief jail stint during the Rodney King riots. It says a lot about a person when their political career begins with a race riot. Jones is one of the most radical people to have ever held a special advisory job in any presidential administration, ever. He certainly did not belong anywhere near Washington DC, much less holding the attention of the President on the creation of jobs in America.

In typical leftist fashion, Jones assigned the blame for his resignation to a “vicious smear campaign” orchestrated by Republicans and Conservatives. That would make headlines if there was any truth to it, and even if there wasn’t. But Jones resigned near midnight on a Saturday during a long holiday weekend so as to avoid the press coverage. He knows what’s up, and what’s down…and he’s down. I say good riddance to bad rubbish.

And, of course, the radical leftist goons who support Obama at all costs are in an uproar over this reversal of circumstances. One of the commenters on the Washington Post site correctly points out that Glenn Beck used one of Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals against Jones, isolating him in the public eye and making him an object of derision. It’s fine for the left to use those rules against Conservatives and Republicans, but let Hell freeze over before they’re ready to have the same treatment redirected back at them. After all, that’s not how the game’s supposed to work.

Also, note how many of Obama’s supporters on the WaPo comment board insist that white supremacy is the only reason Jones was targeted. These people put clowns to shame. In their narrow-minded view of the world, only one motivation exists for good or evil–racism. They would deny the sun shining at mid-day.

Meanwhile, hooray for Glenn Beck!

So which of Obama’s remaining trash bags will be next? My vote would be Cass Sunstein. And for the trolls on WaPo, Sunstein is white.

  1. Van Jones is an outstandingly qualified public servant who got his start at the grassroots. Four years ago, he co-founded Color of Change in the aftermath of the Bush administration’s bugled response to Hurricane Katrina.

Color of Change has been very successful at bringing attention to Glenn Beck’s race-baiting, and Beck has lost sponsors. Probably this won’t make a dent in Beck’s reported $18 million a year income, but it has made him angry!

So Beck launches another smear campaign, like he always does. And Van Jones resigns to go back to what he does best, advocacy against racists like Beck.

  2. So many things wrong here.

First, Communists are not qualified to hold any office of public trust in the United States because their stated goal is to destroy the United States. That’s letting the fox guard the hen house.

Second, the executive branch was not intended to be the first line of response to events like Katrina. It should have been handled by the State of Louisiana, which is where the REAL bungling occurred. The responsibility for the mismanagement of funds which were diverted away from the project to strengthen the levees falls directly in the laps of the Democrats in power prior to Katrina. Another prime example is how then-Governor Blanco told FEMA officials that the levees were holding–hours after they had been breached (http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/03/03/katrina/main1364981.shtml). There is a reason a Republican now sits in the Governor’s office in Louisiana.

Third, Beck hasn’t lost many sponsors. Many of those the Left is claiming pulled their ads never ran ads during his shows to begin with. Beck isn’t angry about the claimed loss of sponsors.

Fourth, Glenn Beck didn’t launch any “smear campaign” against Van Jones. Van Jones stated he was a communist long before Glenn Beck brought it to everyone’s attention. Well, the attention of everyone except the media, which continues to ignore it.

Fifth, calling Glenn Beck a racist in the light of the statements Van Jones makes about whites is not only untrue and libelous, but is monumentally hypocritical. “The white polluters and the white environmentalists are essentially steering poison into the people of color communities…” “Only suburban white kids shoot up schools.” Need I go on?
