The Independence Caucus
Filed Under Elections, Government | Leave a Comment
I just joined the Independence Caucus. Check out their presentation at their website.
I am proud to say that my support of Jason Chaffetz puts me squarely in line with the principles of the Caucus, which has also endorsed Jason.
If it is not yet apparent to you how bad things are in Washington, maybe you need to find another source of news and information. The MOM (Move-On Media) is not telling you even half the story, and the part they are telling you is not even half true.
The answer is to simply stop listening to them. Turn off the TV; there’s very little of value on TV and a lot of indoctrination going on, even in the everyday sitcoms and drama series. You want news and information? Try talk radio. Yes, they are biased to one side of the political spectrum, but they will be the first to tell you that up front, unlike the MOM which pretends to be unbiased but isn’t. The broadcasters of Talk radio aren’t hiding things from you and aren’t twisting events to suit their worldview.
Most people I know, that listen to talk radio, are the most informed people I have come across. They take the news events that are described by the radio talkers and distill out the basic principles on their own. The more time they listen to talk radio, the more apt they are to being open to discussion on a host of issues.
What is truly ironic is that the proxies of the MOM almost always criticize listeners of talk radio as being stupid, uneducated, or brainwashed. Of course, the people who listen exclusively to MOM sources are never described in such condecending and patronizing terms. That, of itself, is proof that what I’m telling you is true.
So back to the orginal point, I would encourage you to watch the presentation of the Independence Caucus on their website. Find out what the MOM has not been telling you about the current situation. And join us!

Joe The Plumber Update
Filed Under Elections, Marxism, Socialism | Leave a Comment
I called it.
In my post of the 16th, I said “I predict that, within the next several days, Joe and the plumbing business he works for will be cited for not having a plumbing license…”
Well, the AFL-CIO has pressured Joe’s employer to prevent Joe from working because he doesn’t have a license. The AFL-CIO has endorsed Obama. These liberals are getting fairly predictable.

I called it. Here is the second story about Joe Wurzelbacher, only this time they are questioning whether he actually is a plumber. Well, that’s what they want you to think anyway. In truth, though the headline questions it, they never actually answer the question they raise. They just want you to think they have. They want you to think he’s a plant.
The truth will come out, and it embarrass the crap out of the AP, or it should. Being the AP seems to have lost all shame, all bets are off.
Again, in the grand scheme of things, this story shouldn’t even be published. It’s a non-story and whether or not Joe has a license to practice plumbing has no bearing on who wins the election–unless, of course, you really are afraid for Barak Obama after he admitted to socialist tendencies…

Discrediting Joe The Plumber
Filed Under Economy, Socialism | Leave a Comment
Not even two days have gone by since Joe the Plumber became an American icon representing all of us that don’t believe “spreading the wealth” is the right thing to do, and the AP has already begun the hatchet job to take him down for having the temerity to question the Messiah.
The irritation manifest by the AP in this non-story is brought to a head in Joe Biden’s response that there are no “Joe the Plumbers in [his] neighborhood.” Could it be that they all moved away after Katie’s Restaurant closed down 20 years ago? Or could it be they all got tired of being taxed nearly to death in Joe’s neighborhood with nothing to show for it? Of course, judging from Biden’s failure to realize that his favorite restaurant had been closed for 2 decades, it isn’t hard to imagine that Biden has been simply never met the “Joe the Plumber” in his neighborhood.
Read carefully the AP story. First, the story itself is ridiculous. It makes no difference whether Joe the Plumber has a license or not. It doesn’t contribute to the debate; it’s a huge red herring, for which the writer ought to be fired for wasting the AP’s money. Of all the important things happening in the world right now, the time and effort of the Associated Press is dedicated to verifying Joe’s claim that he didn’t need a plumber’s license from the county authorities. The story is a mindless, meaningless hack job by a writer whose goal is to cast aspersions on this new American hero.
It’s plenty obvious what the AP is up to here, and it’s despicable. ANd liberals across the nation are now saying, “I knew there was something suspicious about that guy!” So he doesn’t have a plumber’s license, so what? It doesn’t make him any less qualified to ask the question, unless you’re a liberal Obamaphile.
The article points out that Joe “doesn’t have a good plan put together on how he would buy Newell Plumbing and Heating in nearby Toledo.” This point is designed to incite questions in the reader’s mind about Joe’s ability to actually buy the business. In other words, he shoudn’t be asking this question because it obviously won’t ever directly affect him. He’s just causing trouble for Obama.
Then there are the one-line paragraphs:
“There’s a lot I’ve got to learn,” he said.
Wurzelbacher said he’s feeling overwhelmed.
“I just hope I’m not making too much of a fool of myself,” he added.
These are all intended to create an impression that Joe is incompetent to ask the question, thus discrediting him. That last one-liner is actually the last sentence of the story. It is especially designed to convey the impression from the mind of the writer to the mind of the reader, that Joe is making a fool of himself and should be ignored.
Except that they can’t ignore him because he’s put the Holy Obama on the spot in front of millions of Americans. I predict that, within the next several days, Joe and the plumbing business he works for will be cited for not having a plumbing license, and the AP will run another story about how dangerous it is to have plumbers without licenses. Keep watching.
In the meantime, Glenn Beck has offered Joe a loan to help him purchase Newell Plumbing and Heating. We should all be so lucky as to have plumbers like Joe in our neighborhoods. Since 9-11 we have honored firemen and policemen for their everyday service to our communities. Beginning today, those honored ranks now include the everyday guy with a plunger, dedicated to cleaning the out the crap lodged in our sewers, especially the one in Washington DC.
Update: I hadn’t even had this up for twenty minutes and already I’m finding people on youtube saying Joe was paid by McCain, or that he’s a fraud, or other such liberal non-sense. I fear for my country.

Glenn Beck: What Do We Do Now?
Filed Under Economy | Leave a Comment
And here is part 3 of the series. Please read these. They are fully annotated and researched. Glenn is not engaging in “Republicans-good; Democrats-bad” rhetoric. He points out that both parties are at fault, which is the result of our electing people of low quality who are unwise, dishonest, egotistical, and self-centered.

GOP Challenges ACORN Registrations
Filed Under Campaigns, Elections | Leave a Comment
A federal appeals court has ruled in favor of a GOP challenge to the Ohio Secretary of State’s election policies, which included not fully verifying voter registrations made in the last several months. The spokesman for the Ohio GOP also complained that Secretary Brunner had not provided a way for election officials to act on questionable registrations in a timely manner.
Brunner’s refusal to act on this matter leaves questions as to her impartiality, especially in light of the recent problems with voter registrations submitted by ACORN.

ACORN=Obama
Filed Under Campaigns, Elections | Leave a Comment
Barak Obama has tried hard to distance himself from ACORN, but there’s no getting away from the reality of his intimate associations with the community organizing group.
He has been recorded bragging about his work for and with ACORN. He was on the board of directors for Chicago Woods Funds, a major contributor to ACORN, with Bill Ayers, a noted terrorist. And Obama’s current campaign gave $800,000 to ACORN for a get-out-the-vote project.
Obama: “I’ve been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career. Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work.”
That kind of campaigning reeks of corruption. You give a big wad of cash to a group so they can go out and get people to vote, and you expect me to believe that you aren’t paying for those votes? Non-partisan, my elbow! One branch of ACORN or another has been in the news for voter fraud nearly every year of this century, and it’s always fraud that would favor the Democrat. How is that non-partisan?!
ACORN should be disbanded, it’s leadership rounded up and thrown in jail, and legislation MUST be passed to prevent these groups from ever existing again. If you want a community organization, great. Go to it. But voting is a personal, private, non-community type of thing. Voter privacy shouldn’t be messed with. I even have difficulty justifying campaign volunteers giving poor or older voters rides to the polling stations. It just doesn’t sit right.
By the way, the election is only three weeks away. Obama must NOT win. His politics are bad for any country, and especially antithetical to what America is. Get registered, and go vote!

How Bad Is Joe Biden?
Filed Under Campaigns, Elections | Leave a Comment
Read Ann Coulter’s column from this past Thursday. She’s listed all the details.
In summary, it’s hard to find something Biden said in the VP debate that was correct. Some of his new gaffes are really monumental.
What, you don’t like Ann’s acerbic wit? Her razor-sharp tongue? Get over it for a few minutes and go read the facts. This is more important than your fine sensibilities.

More Liberal Lies, Media Covers It Up
Filed Under Government | Leave a Comment
The AP reports today that Sarah Palin abused her power in firing Public Safety Commissioner Walter Monegan. The AP then reveals that the firing was amazingly not illegal. The story adds,
Monegan’s firing was lawful, the report found, but Palin let the family grudge influence her decision-making — even if it was not the sole reason Monegan was dismissed.
This is just crap. Either it’s illegal or it isn’t. If it is illegal, then she would be guilty of abuse of power. But if it isn’t illegal, then she cannot be guilty because there is nothing to be guilty of. This puts both the Legislative panel and the AP in the difficult position of having to explain how Sarah Palin can be both guilty and not guilty at the same time. Of course, anything is possible in the fantasy world that Liberals call reality.
The article does not explain how the circumstances leading to the case could possibly be handled without any reference to the “family grudge.” It’s a very convenient excuse for the panel to cover their butts for this sham of an investigation. But again, the left-media is all too eager to help “explain” the situation.
The story also says,
Investigator Stephen Branchflower, in a report to a bipartisan panel that looked into the matter, found Palin in violation of a state ethics law that prohibits public officials from using their office for personal gain.
Neither the panel nor the AP explained how Sarah Palin obtained “personal gain” by firing Monegan, a point Palin’s attorney brought up. What’s more, Mr. Branchflower is not an impartial observer of the facts in this case. He’s had an ax to grind against Palin for a long time already and should never have been allowed to serve as investigator.
Fortunately, reasonable people will be able to see this farcical attempt at Justice as a thinly veiled attempt at payback by people with an agenda. This is a non-story disguised as a scandal by people seeking to distract public attention away from Sarah Palin.
Thankfully, at least one panel member has displayed some honesty. Sen. Gary Stevens is quoted as saying,
“I think there are some problems in this report…I would encourage people to be very cautious, to look at this with a jaundiced eye.”
Yes, jaundiced enough to match the color of the journalism going on here.
