You’ve got to see the video to believe it. Former Democratic National Committee Chairman has a laugh enroute to North Carolina at the expense of the people of New Orleans. He chuckles at the prospect of hurricane Gustav making landfall at about the same time that Pres. Bush is scheduled to speak at the Republican Convention, then quips that it looks like “God’s on our side.”

So I guess Democratic Congressional Candidate Bennion Spencer is not so far off the reservation as I previously thought. Apparently there are other Democrats who think they are God’s chosen people.

Here’s the video:

Sarah Palin, current governor of Alaska is John McCain’s choice for Vice-President.

There are a lot of people excited right now. The folks at Townhall.com were “ecstatic.” Glenn Beck described the choice as “brilliant.” Even Karl Rove had many good things to say about the decision.

I had looked at Sarah Palin for only a moment, and then dismissed her a the choice because of her background. First, she’s from Alaska. Second, she has made some enemies among fellow Alaska Republicans trying to root out the corruption. Third, her husband works for an oil company. Fourth, she’s from Alaska.

I though she would never see the light of day in today’s Republican party. But then I remembered that John McCain has a habit of sticking it to the party. This time, it looks like it was in the right direction.

We don’t yet know a lot about Gov. Palin, and so Barak Obama’s first shot was to criticize her “lack of experience.” I know I didn’t hear that right.

Experience? She has more executive experience than Barak Obama, Joe Biden, and John McCain combined. Who is Baby Boy Obama to talk about experience?

I have heard several commentators, including Rush Limbaugh, voice their concerns about the state of today’s Democratic Party. Well, it seems the Democratic Party is in great shape after all. How could it not be with all those people intent on saving us from ourselves?

The pathetic life of a vicious muderer came to an end in Texas today.

During the 15 year long appeals process, the UN and Mexican courts attempted to interfere with American and Texan sovereignty. The US Supreme Court ruled that Texas was not bound by the rulings of foreign courts, nor was it bound by federal demands to hold the execution. In short, Texas’ state sovereignty was unquestionably upheld.

And better that it is so, because the man they put to death today deserved it.

You know, Mexico doesn’t have a death penalty, and look what it’s got them: the most corrupt large government on Earth, gangs control entire states in Mexico, people fleeing by the millions. Perhaps if they adopted the death penalty, Mexico might one day become a decent place to live.

Instead there are people there like Reyna Armendariz, a cousin of the executed murderer, who said “only God has the right to take a life.” Funny, Reyna’s cousin didn’t seem to feel that way. Maybe its all just part of that silly machismo thing; you get to think you’re God.

And frankly, it makes me ill to think that her opinion is getting anything other than ridicule in America. Tell the press we don’t care what Mexican Nationals think about us. They should obey our laws on our turf. That’s the message Texas sent today, loud and clear.
