I was listening to Laura Ingraham this morning when she played audio of McCain and Hillary being interviewed by Tim Russert while they were in Iraq. Russert asked the two of them if each thought the other would make a good President.

I was wondering the other day about Hillary’s choice for VP. Is there anything that would prevent her from choosing Bill as her running mate? The Constitution prohibits him from running for President again, but what about Vice-President? Is there a similar prohibition? One would think so, but we’ve never been in this situation before; I’ve never looked into it.

If no such constitutional obstacle exists, is it conceivable that they might actually do such a thing? It would certainly be historic.

I can’t imagine Bill settling for First Husband, or First Consort, or First Mate–it still has the feel of First Lady about it.

The New York Times has officially endorsed John McCain as GOP candidate and Hillary Clinton for the Democrats.

My question was “Why McCain?”

Actually, it’s easy. If Hillary Clinton wins the election, the Times will have at least two years to enjoy a President as Fascistic as they are who will push every ridiculous socialist idea on the public that they can get through Congress.

If McCain wins, they will get four years to enjoy a President that will bend over backwards to accommodate the whims and wishes of all the Liberal Fascists in the Legislature as they work to push their ridiculous socialist ideas through Congress, with promises to sign all the socialized health care, amnesty and Global Warming-inspired tripe the Legislature can cook up.

In other words, the Times’ board will get everything they want in a President, regardless of who wins. It’s a no-brainer.

I know many people think John McCain’s involuntary stay in the Hanoi Hilton is part of his attraction and character, but after thinking this through I believe he should withdraw his candidacy for President for one very important reason: he is a former POW.

So many have stated that Mitt Romney should not be elected because of his alleged flip-flopping. Nevermind that most all of those charges can be easily answered with a little research.

So, instead they vote for either John McCain or Mike Huckabee with the full expectation that these two will change their positions on the issues on which they currently disagree with Conservatives.

So, rather than vote for someone who has already changed their positions to largely match their own, they would prefer to elect someone that they hope will do so, but of which hope they have no evidence nor record.

It just doesn’t make any sense.
